Our History

Our first church project was Brush Arbor Church at Caracol in 1994

In 1993, after attending college and living in the US for several years, Wilbert Merzilus felt called back to Haiti to establish a mission to minister to the needs of rural churches in Haiti.  Wilbert’s vision came from a deep sense of gratitude for God’s bringing him out of a difficult childhood in rural Haiti, to a place of opportunity and blessing in the U.S.    Since then the work has grown and is overseen by an all volunteer board of directors in conjunction with the Executive Director.  This team is made up of highly committed Christians seeking to further the cause of Christ and minister to the Haitian people.
