Over the past 19 years, Living Hope Mission has worked hard to minister to the needs of hungry people in our communities. With the help of colleagues like veterinarian, Jacques Saintelus, and volunteers from the Christian Veterinary Mission, we have provided training in animal care to local people along with access to medicine and implements that are hard to find in Haiti. Projects have also included school gardens, fish ponds, a goat project in cooperation with Heifer Project International, and various other efforts.
At present, Living Hope Mission is working to promote the growth of Agriculture and local food production by making grants and training available to local farmers who want to start a chicken farm. With the help of other organizations such as Haiti Broilers and Operation Mobilization, we have been able to help several individuals and cooperatives produce chickens for meat and eggs.
